The unique badlands landscape where not even a blade of grass grows
The Neopu Village area in Longci is predominantly characterized by mudstone terrain. With its soil composed of clay minerals that expand upon contact with water, the region has developed a badlands landscape resembling the Moon's surface. This terrain presents extreme challenges for water and soil conservation, making it difficult for plants to grow. These conditions also contribute to the distinctive geological landscape of Longci.

Highlights of the water and soil conservation engineering methods
The Water and Soil Conservation Bureau (WSCB) has initially adopted ecological engineering methods to rectify riverbank collapse areas and create a rural landscape in the surrounding area. These methods gradually added greenery to the barren badlands landscape, transforming it into a base for demonstrating water and soil conservation practices. Themed on “Remembering the Source When Drinking Water”, “The Blooming Oasis”, “The Antique Charm”, “Circle of Life”, “Pavilion Reflections in Water”, and “The Picturesque Scenery of Lake and Mountains”, the Park collaborated with the local cultural center. Through demonstrations of ecological engineering methods (e.g., constructing fences by driving stakes, building tire retaining walls, and conducting erosion simulations), they aimed to deepen visitors' knowledge about local culture and water and soil conservation engineering methods while enjoying an outing.

The must-visit Dream Lake and waterside Pavilion
Another beloved landscape among Park visitors is the "Neopu Agricultural Pond", famed as the "Dream Lake". This lake hidden in the mountain forest offers not only a dream-like, beautiful scenery but also an impressive pavilion by the water!
While standing in the pavilion, you will feel as if you are immersed in water. The distinctive overflow design of the pavilion not only keeps visitors dry but also enables them to, after a pouring rain, enjoy the lake scenery and see how the lake water flows into the drainage outlets inside the pavilion. This allows them to fully fell the harmonious relationship between humans and nature.
