Hutou Mountain
Hutou Mountain is located in eastern Yujing District, with an elevation of 239 meters. As the name suggests, it is named because the shape of the mountain resembles a tiger's head. It is the ancient battlefield of the Tapani Incident, with a monument to the anti-Japanese martyr Yu Qingfang built on the top of the mountain. It is the highest point in Yujing, and standing on the mountain, one can see at a glance the magnificent and beautiful scenery of the Jianan Plain, Yujing, Nanxi, and the foothills of Alishan. Along the way up the mountain, Irwin mangoes and native mangoes are planted on both sides. It is even more beautiful when the flowers bloom in April and May, and when the fruits are ripe in June and July.
Around the top of the mountain, several elegant, culturally atmospheric, and beautiful landscape garden restaurants have been built. In addition to enjoying the vast views of the misty mountains below, you can also listen to beautiful music while tasting coffee, authentic Yujing mango ice cream, and specially made mango dishes.
※There are more insects at the mountain area, please bring insect repellent or wear long sleeve.
