Wushantou Reservoir is located between the border of Liujia District and Guantian District. Looking down from a high position, you will see the shore of the lake is shaped irregularly like green coral reefs, which is why the place is also called "coral reef lake."
This scenic area is well equipped with a camping area, a barbecue area, trails, a water park, etc. Hatta Memorial Hall introduces the history of Wushantou Reservoir; if you want to know more about Yoichi Hatta’s story, you should visit Hatta Yoichi Memorial Park.
The Gliricidia flowers have made the Wushantou Reservoir a must-visit attraction. The best place to see the flowers in the scenic area is the Xiangxie Boulevard. The Gliricidia flowers planted here belong to a variety introduced by Japanese at the time of the construction of the reservoir. Every spring, the swaying pinkish flowers create a romantic scene. The water activities in the scenic area currently include tourist boats, row boats, and water bicycles, which enable tourists to fully enjoy the scenery of the reservoir.
