The “2023 Chilled Summer in Siraya” was grandly launched today (on the 14th) and the press conference was held at the Guantian Visitor Center. Director Hsu Chen-neng from the Siraya National Scenic Area Administration, Tourism Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communications; the office of Legislator Kuo Kuo-wen; the office of Legislator Chen Ting-fei; Councilors of Tainan City Chen Chiu-hung; the Office of Councilor Yu jung-chih; Director Jeffrey S.C. HSIAO from Southwestern Taiwan Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Director Chao Kuei-liang from Wushantou Reservoir Scenic Agrea Branch, Chianan Management Office, Irrigation Agency, Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan; Chief Secretary Lu Cheng-yi from Tourism Bureau, Tainan City Government; Director Huang Ping-yuan from Guantian District Office, Tainan City; Chairman of Taiwan Tourism and Leisure Industry Association Weng Ting-fang; Chairman of Tainan Association of Travel Agent Tsai Cheng-hung; Chairman of Tainan Chamber of Commerce Wu Chun-tai; and representatives of associations of the tourism industry of Siraya in Tainan all attended this grand event. These distinguished guests have come together to announce the exciting lineup of summer tourism activities for this year, including the highly anticipated "Erziliao Sunrise and Cloud Sea" and the thrilling " Guanziling Summer Festival Mountain Car Ceremony". Additionally, consumers will have the opportunity to collect rewards points and participate in a grand prize draw!
Firstly, the "2023 Chilled Summer in Siraya - Win a Grand Prize with Reward Points" event will kick off on June 15. To welcome this event, the Siraya National Scenic Area Administration (referred to as the Administration) has partnered with over 50 stores: From June 15 to October 15, consumers can earn 1 point for every NT$200 spent at participating stores. These points can be exchanged for a "Good Gift Chilled Lucky Draw Coupon" at a rate of 6 points per coupon. The Administration will conduct lucky draws on August 15 and October 15, with a Gogoro vehicle as the grand prize for each date. Participants who make more purchases will have a higher chance of winning in the lucky draw. Furthermore, special thanks are extended to Aloft Tainan Anping Hotel for providing accommodation coupons as additional lucky draw prizes.
Next up next is the "Erziliao Sunrise and Cloud Sea" event on July 2. This year, in addition to the exciting yoga experience awaiting you at the Erziliao Sunrise Viewing Platform, the Administration has also invited local students from Koupi Experimental Elementary School and esteemed tribal elders to grace the occasion with their mesmerizing musical performances. This allows the audience to immerse themselves and embrace the dawn amidst the enchanting cloud sea scenery in its hopeful and vibrant backdrop. By completing a mysterious mission on the event day, participants will receive 6 points as a ticket to enter the "Win a Grand Prize with Reward Points" lucky draw, allowing them to participate while waiting for the sunrise. Additionally, nearby B&B operators have collaborated to launch special accommodation offers. For instance, the "Dakeng Leisure Farm" will provide an early-bird offer, granting participants who book accommodation before June 20 for July 1 with a 15% discount; "Sian Ban Tian B&B" offers a 10% discount on accommodations for June 30 and July 1; and "Old Street 168" offers a 10% discount on stays for July 1 and July 2. The second themed activity is the “Guanziling Summer Festival Mountain Car Ceremony”, where the Administration has extended its duration from July 22 to August 31 this year. There will be markets and art performers entertaining on the square in front of Dacheng Hall during weekends throughout this period. First, the “Siraya Cup – The Love of Guanziling Music Competition” will take place first on June 22, participants are invited to sing or play the melody of the long-standing song “The Love of Guanziling” to picture everyone’s image about Guanziling. The top three winners of each group will receive NT$10,000, NT$8,000 and NT$5,000, respectively! The application will be officially launched online today. Those who love to sing or can play an instrument are welcome to make a registration to show your love for music at the melodious Guanziling.
