The "2023 Chilled Summer in Siraya - Guanziling Summer Festival Mountain Car Ceremony" will showcase its highlight event, the "Guanziling Summer Festival Mountain Car Ceremony - The Mountain Car Pulling and Blessing Activity", on August 11. For this occasion, a drum team has been specially invited to lead the procession, filling the air with resonant drumbeats that symbolize the powerful protection of Huo Wangye throughout the Guanziling area. Additionally, the event will feature dynamic dances and a playful T-Rex, which will join the procession and engage with the attendees, creating a lively and festive atmosphere akin to a grand summer carnival!
Huo Wangye (also known as the “Immovable Lord”) was reverently welcomed Guanziling by Japanese people. Today, Huo Wangyi has now become a guardian of local hot spring business and outcrops, and formed a unique ritual culture of Guanziling. The "Guanziling Summer Festival Mountain Car Ceremony" of this year will be held on a larger scale, as if the gate of time and space has been opened, transporting people back to the hot spring era during the Japanese colonial period. In addition to Japan's nostalgic Nakashi music and street performances in Dacheng Hall Square, the event will also feature the "Summer Fun Market". Hsu Cheng-neng, the Director of the Siraya National Scenic Area Administration (referred to as the Administration hereinafter), under the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, said that the Guanziling Hot Spring Area boasts a distinctive mud hot springs and earned the title of "Taiwan's No.1 Hot Spring" during the Japanese colonial period. Furthermore, indulging in a hot spring bath during the summer can promote metabolism and alleviate fatigue. In order to entice the citizens of Taiwan to visit Guanziling, the Administration also emphasized that visitors can explore the Butterfly Park within Lingding Park to witness the graceful dance of crow butterflies in the sky, admire the captivating sunset at Huoshan Biyun Temple, and savor the delectable urn-cooked chicken to rejuvenate their body, mind, and spirit. The Administration also expressed its aspiration for the "Guanziling Summer Festival Mountain Car Ceremony" to enhance the promotion of accommodations, culinary delights, and scenic attractions in the vicinity of Guanziling. This endeavor aims to enable visitors to experience the distinct allure of Siraya and craft unforgettable summer memories in the serene ambiance of the Siraya National Scenic Area.

If you plan to visit the mountain, we encourage you to come early or cooperate with the traffic control measures. Furthermore, during the period of traffic control, Chia-Yi Bus No. 7214 will only operate up to the Veterans’ House, while Singing Bus Yellow 12 and Yellow 13, as well as the Taiwan Trip Guanziling Line Bus, will be rerouted.
