The 2024 Siraya Summer So Chill Photography Competition, Reward Points to Draw iPhones, and Summer So Chill Tour started on June 6.
Chen-Neng Hsu, Director of the Siraya National Scenic Area Headquarters, said that this year's Solar Festival in Taiwan, launched by the Tourism Administration, began in June to connect delicious and fun activities and attractions across Taiwan. "Siraya Summer So Chill" will kick off on June 6th! The director hopes that through this series of activities, they can jointly promote tourism in Siraya during the summer and autumn. June is the season for lotus seeds, mangoes, and Oldham bamboo shoots,which perfectly complement the Siraya Summer So Chill series of activities. The headquarters invites everyone to visit Siraya to taste agricultural specialties, experience unique activities, and soak in mud hot springs. You will not only relieve stress but also have a lot of fun! This year's highlight, the Guanziling Summer Mountain Car Festival, will be held in July. It will introduce a new experience in collaboration with the Great Siraya Sightseeing Circle and local small farmers. Please look forward to it. The 2024 Siraya Summer So Chill series of activities will start on June 6, including "Reward Points to Draw iPhone," "Wonderland Erliao Photography Competition," and "Summer So Chill Tour." The reward points combine discounts from nearly 50 Great Siraya sightseeing circle stores and the area's food, accommodation, travel, and shopping. Anyone who spends NTD 200 or more at designated cooperative stores can collect 1 point.If you accumulate 10 points, you can enter a draw to win iPhone 15. You can also collect points by participating in the Summer Mountain Car Festival on July 27th and 28th. The more points you have, the more chances you will have to win. The event will draw one lucky winner each in July and September. The Wonderland Erliao Photography Competition will collect applications from June 6, 2024, to August 16, 2024. The first place winner will receive a prize of NTD 30,000 and a certificate, with the total prize pool reaching NTD 87,000. Photography enthusiasts are welcome to capture beautiful moments in Siraya! Additionally, the "Summer So Chill Tour" launched this year will allow everyone to experience the Summer Float Festival in Guanziling. In conjunction with the "Solar Festival in TAIWAN" organized by the Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, which features five main themes: "Talk about Dragon Boat and Sticky Rice Dumpling," "Summer Solstice 235", "Have Tea and Ice," "Taiwan Food Exhibition," and "Have Railway Fun," the Siraya National Scenic Area Headquarters will hold the Siraya Summer Chill - Guanziling Summer Float Festival starting from July 27. With the central theme of "Have Tea and Ice," the headquarters will launch activities to relieve heat and provide a refreshing experience. Following last year (2023), when popsicles and mango shaved ice were first included in the float supply chain, they will continue to promote the same combination of ice product marketing this year. Moreover, the headquarters will continue activities, combining local small-scale farmers and Nakashi performances from July to August. Everyone is welcome to Guanziling to experience the dual enjoyment of taste and sound.
Additionally, the Siraya Guantian Tourist Center will hold the TOUCH SIRAYA, TOUCHING TAIWAN photography exhibition, where viewers can win Polaroid cameras. The event is available only until July 31, while sopplies last.
