The "2024 Siraya Go CreCar" event, hosted by the Siraya National Scenic Area Headquarters of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, is now officially open for registration! The event will be held on November 24 at Tsou Ma Lai Farm in Danei, Tainan. This competition serves as a platform for conveying dreams and challenging oneself. This year's event marks a new milestone in its eleventh year. Committed to creating a new era, the organizer hope participating teams will incorporate elements of green sustainability, environmental protection, carbon reduction, and other eco-friendly practices into their cars, moving towards a zero-carbon living concept year by year.
The Siraya Go CreCar welcomes creative and enthusiastic experts from home and abroad to join. Registration is now open until September 23, with a total prize pool of NTD 450,000. This year's event aims to attract more outstanding teams to create eye-catching cars. The top 20 teams with the highest scores will receive an NTD 5,000 car-building subsidy and a best-looking award during the on-site evaluation. Additionally, the top 15 teams that register and complete the event will receive an NTD 3,000 transportation subsidy. This year's scoring system has introduced a ["Like" Rating], allowing participating teams to call on friends to like and share their car-building record photos or videos to increase popularity. The number of winners for the surprise award remains at five teams, ensuring that all participating teams have the opportunity to win. The headquarters looks forward to the participation of all car makers in creating the most unique unpowered cars.
This year's track design includes innovative challenges in addition to the previous levels. Participants will shout the event slogan from a 2-meter-high starting platform, symbolizing driving towards unlimited possibilities. The track consists of exciting levels such as "Bubble Wonderland," "A or B Choice Level," "S-curve," and the final "Human are Fiercer than Cars." Contestants must demonstrate their concentration and driving skills in these challenges to compete for a gold prize of NTD 180,000 and the honor of being Siraya's new generation of car gods.
Chen-Neng Hsu, Director of the Siraya National Scenic Area Headquarters, said the event will link surrounding attractions and the tourism industry, including food, accommodation, travel, and shopping, providing contestants and tourists with more diverse in-depth experiences and local accommodation options. Therefore, the "Siraya Go CreCar" will continue to develop into a representative annual classic fun race. Additionally, the headquarters will arrange a "Contestant Night" to let participants relax. Through rich food and exciting band performances, they cheer for the race in advance.
The public can enjoy the unique cars carefully crafted by each team and the exciting car races on the day of the competition. Moreover, there will be a significant outdoor air spring jump, grassland parent-child activities, super popular food trucks, unique markets, a limited photo booth, and other engaging on-site activities.
