Siraya National Scenic Area Headquarters

The " Siraya Grassland Festival-Siraya Life-Fly with You" is an annual event held by the Siraya National Scenic Area Headquarters of the Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, attracting many tourists to participate yearly. Today (March 20), the Headquarters held a press conference to promote the project, with the Director of the Siraya National Scenic Area Headquarters of the MOTC,  Zhu-Long Xu, the Director of the Southwest Coast National Scenic Area Headquarters, Chen-Neng Hsu, the Executive Director of the Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan Joint Services Center, Executive Yuan, Mi-Shan Liu, the Director of the  Southern Region Weather Center of the Central Weather Administration, MOTC, Zhang-Sheng Xie, the Senior Specialist of the Bureau of Tourism of Tainan City Government, Ling-Li Ding, the Chief of Guantian District Office, Tsung-Fa Hong, the President of the Tainan National University of the Arts, Shang-Chia Chiou, the representative of the service office of Legislator Guo-Wen Guo, the representative of the service office of Legislator Ting-Fei Chen , and the representative of the service office of Tainan City Councilor Qiu-Hong Chen, representatives from the service office of Tainan City Councilor Tong-Long Wu, representatives from the service office of Tainan City Councillor Rong-Zhi You, Chairman of the Hotel Associations of ROC Chong-Yuan Hong, Deputy Secretary-General of the Marine Industry and Local Culture Revitalizing Association Li-Yu Chang, Honorary Chairman of the Siraya Tourism Industry Association of Tainan City Yong-Cheng Chen and other distinguished guests from various associations attended the press conference. The Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications' Tourism Ambassador OhBear and the Siraya Grizzly Bear, who made his debut and the first collaboration Shiny Bear – Pang-Pang, were invited to appear at the press conference to kick off the event. The three "bears" looked so cute! According to Director Zhu-Long Xu of the Siraya National Scenic Area Headquarters of the MTOC, the Siraya Life-Fly with you has constantly innovated yearly. Last year (2024), it cooperated with the Central Weather Administration of the MTOC for the first time to set up interactive experiences and arrange for on-site explanations by meteorological experts. This year (2025) coincides with the 20th anniversary of establishing the Siraya National Scenic Area Headquarters and expanded to hold a three-week theme event. Besides continuing the eye-catching Balloon Festival, Pets Sport Competition, and Grassland Music Festival, the Headquarters also specially invited the Tainan National University of the Arts orchestra to perform stage activities. Also planned a theme market to create an on-site atmosphere. In response to promoting Taiwanese local coffee in 2025, we will also gather coffee producers in Chiayi and Tainan to set up stalls. We held coffee brewing and latte art machine demonstrations at today's press conference. We will set up stalls during the coffee market, and everyone is welcome to taste the charming aroma of coffee and experience the fun of latte art machines.

The first week of the "2025 Siraya Grassland Festival-Siraya Life-Fly with You" (April 19 and 20) will feature the most anticipated Balloon Festival and the opening-only Projection Mapping Show Concert. Besides, stay at designated hotels (Wushantou Hujin Hotel, Reikei Hot Spring Resort, Lichiuan Hotel Spring Hotel, E Hotel, Grand Banyan Hotel, Tsou Ma Lai Farm, L'arc Hotel) during the event. You will have the opportunity to receive an NTD 500 tethered balloon ride experience voucher. On April 19, the Headquarters will launch the limited event "Siraya Life One-Day Tour" (original price NTD 2,050, discounted price NTD 1,350). Participants can enjoy priority reservations for a tethered balloon ride experience, have walking tours of significant attractions in Guantian District, Yujing District, and Nanxi District, and take an intellectual journey. Participants in the tour also receive an NTD 200 market voucher and a balloon peripheral product.

The second week (April 26 and 27) will feature Pets Sports Competition, Pets Costume Show, and pet-related DIY experiences, allowing everyone to make small gifts exclusively for their pets. This year, the organizers partnered with PetView—Pet Life APP to set up a 6-meter-high balloon exclusively for pets, allowing owners to leave unforgettable memories with their pets. At the same time, the event invited coffee companies from Tainan Dongshan Coffee, Qigu Salt Coffee, and Chiayi Zhongpu Coffee, as well as a "coffee market" for a coffee latte art experience. Everyone is welcome to make a pilgrimage to Siraya Coffee. Moreover, the organizer also arranged for the children's favorite Apple Theater, Wahahafamily, and the super cute "Shiny Bear" to come to the scene to interact with everyone so that adults and children can have a happy time together!

The third week (May 3 and 4) will be the finale of the Grassland Music Festival, bringing two consecutive days of incredible music feasts. On the first day, the festival will assemble a strong lineup of bands to launch the "Youth Hot Rock Night," including Traveler, Goodick, Song of Crane, and the finale of Mr. Mi MIXER, who will sweep the audience and stir up everyone's passionate music cells, bringing a shocking performance to make your Saturday night high! The second day will bring the classic "Taiwanese Folk Song Feast," inviting singers Xing-Yu Wang, Jia-Qun Gao, Showlen Maya, and Wen-Cheng Shen, who will use the most moving Taiwanese singing to evoke the precious memories and emotions in the hearts of the audience. A "Tipsy Market" is specially created on-site, allowing everyone to taste delicious food and fine wine in a tipsy atmosphere and immerse themselves in music and leisurely time.

The second week, from April 27 to 28, will be themed around furry kids, with Pets Sports Competition, Pets Costume Show, and pet fresh food DIY. There are parent-child performances such as Meizi's sister telling stories, Feili's brother's balloon magic, and the Apple Theater. There are also opportunities to participate in activities and pass levels on-site, such as winning market consumption vouchers and receiving gifts from cooperative stores. Participants in the event will have a chance to win market consumption vouchers and gifts from cooperating stores.

Besides the three-weekend-long theme activities and markets, this year's extraordinary cooperation, Shiny Bear, will bring a 5-meter super cute balloon, market stalls, and chances to win prizes of passing levels, as well as DIY handmade experiences! To encourage everyone to take public transportation and respond to sustainable tourism and carbon reduction policies, the Headquarters will offer this year's activities, including free shuttle buses for the venue (April 19 and 20) and free rides on the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle-Lingbo Guantian Line for a limited period of NTD 0 (April 19, 20, 26, 27 and May 3 and 4). You can take the Taiwan Railway to Longtian Railway Station and transfer to the activity shuttle bus or bus. You can also rent a U-bike to come to the venue to save energy, reduce carbon emissions, and love the earth.
