The Siraya National Scenic Area Headquarters is launching a limited-time event: from October 17 to 19 and October 24 to 26, take the Ling Po-Guantian Line of Taiwan Tourist Shuttle on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for six days to hunt for Batman! Board the correct scheduled buses, successfully capture Batman appearing in the bus, and follow the social media accounts of the Siraya National Scenic Area Headquarters to receive a bag of delicious local specialty water chestnuts from Guantian. Limited daily quantities are available, while supplies last. Miss out, you'll have to wait until next year!
Why Batman? When foreigners see water chestnuts, they often think that their appearance is very similar to that of bats, which has inspired this event. The Siraya National Scenic Area Headquarters cleverly combines "Batman" with local specialty water chestnuts, launching a fun bus-riding and giving away water chestnut activity. Passengers can also visit Guantian, eat delicious food, and take beautiful photos on the way, achieving many things at one stroke! As long as the public takes the designated bus of the Ling Po-Guantian Line of Taiwan Tourist Shuttle (from Xinying Station to Shanhua Bus Station at 12:00 and 15:30, and from Shanhua Bus Station to Xinying Station at 13:30 and 17:00), they have a chance to meet Batman.
Besides hunting for Batman by taking a bus, the Guantian District Farmers' Association will also hold the annual "Guantian Water Chestnut Festival" in the Guantian Visitor Center from October 18th to 19th. Held for the first time this year, the two-day event will feature innovative products: water chestnut square cookies and water chestnut and buckwheat crisps. The event aims to boost the local industry after the typhoon and help water chestnut farmers market their fresh and delicious Guantian water chestnuts. Not only can you get free water chestnuts, but you can also take the "Ling Po-Guantian Line of Taiwan Tourist Shuttle" to visit many special scenic spots, including Liuying Jianshanpi Resort, Guantian Visitor Center, Longtian Culture Heritage Area near Longtian Station, etc., and take a slow trip to Silaya to experience the most chill rural scenery.

You can see the rural scenery of farmers harvesting water chestnuts everywhere in the official fields. Every autumn is a major feature of the Siraya National Scenic Area. Furthermore, the Siraya National Scenic Area Headquarters has carefully planned multiple Taiwan Tourist Shuttle-Guanzihling Route (Line) and Ling Po-Guantian Line package tickets, which you can purchase at KKDAY, KLOOK, QYOU, and Singing Bus, and enjoy discounts from designated shops along the route. From today until October 31st, taking the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle-Guanzihling Route Line and Ling Po-Guantian Line, you can enjoy a 50% discount on ticket prices by paying with electronic ticket systems or mobile payments. Besides, both lines will launch multiple themed activities to enrich the travel experience!
