2026 Siraya Grassland Festival
The 2026 Siraya Grassland Festival is still going strong.
Following the spectacular debut of the Balloon Festival during the first week (April 25–26), the second week (May 1–3) will bring a full lineup of highlights, including a Pets Sports Competition, a Robocar Poli Fan Meeting, and the Grassland Music Festival. Visitors are invited to experience the boundless energy of the lawns at the Guantian Visitor Center.

Taking center stage on May 1 is the hugely popular Pets Sports Competition, the cutest highlight of the week. Starting at 3:00 p.m., a lively specialty market will open on-site, featuring a wide variety of food stalls as well as a specially curated pet market with pet snacks and supplies, so owners can shop for their furry companions to their hearts’ content. Beginning at 3:30 p.m., on-site registration will be available in two sessions. Whether energetic and playful or adorably goofy and lovable, pets can run freely across the grass and show off their charm.

At 5:30 p.m., an eye-catching pet costume catwalk will add even more excitement. From carefully styled outfits to imaginative looks, every participant is ready to melt the hearts of the crowd.
Also on the same afternoon at 4:00 p.m., children’s favorites Robocar Poli and Amber will make a surprise appearance on the main stage, joining OhBear and Mud Bear from the Tourism Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) for a lively dance-along and close-up interactive fun, with laughter guaranteed throughout the venue.
As the sun begins to set, the evening will conclude on a soothing note. At 6:30 p.m., volunteers from the Tainan Astronomical Education Area will host a special stargazing activity in the lawn area, inviting visitors to gaze up at the stars over the open grassland and end the day with a relaxing finale.

The Grassland Music Festival on May 2 and 3 will present two distinct musical experiences. On May 2, Bandstival will lead the program, with popular bands taking the stage one after another and setting the scene ablaze with high-energy rhythms. On May 3, the theme shifts to the warm and moving "Taiwanese YA!", featuring standout Taiwanese-language singers from televised talent competitions, who will convey local feeling through warm, soothing vocals and create a wonderful spring outdoor music event.

Across the two days, there will also be a checkpoint challenge activity. Visitors who follow the Siraya National Scenic Area Headquarters Facebook page, upload a check-in post, and make a purchase at the market will have a chance to win accommodation vouchers and other great prizes, making the festival experience even more rewarding.

Siraya National Scenic Area Headquarters Director Hsu Chu-lung noted that, as spring turns to summer and temperatures continue to rise, visitors are reminded to take sun protection measures and stay hydrated while attending the event. In support of environmental sustainability and low-carbon travel, visitors are encouraged to bring their own reusable tableware. Those who make purchases at the market can enjoy a NT$5 discount.
The surrounding area also offers a number of pet-friendly attractions and accommodation options, making it ideal for a trip with furry companions. These include Fairy Lake Leisure Farm, where guests can stay overnight and get close to nature; Wushantou Reservoir, where visitors can enjoy a boat ride together with their pets; Xiao Ling Ju, a pet-friendly restaurant; and Deyuanpi Holland Village, a great place for pets to run around and burn off energy. Among them, Deyuanpi Holland Village is also launching an exclusive, limited-time
promotion for the Siraya Grassland Festival, inviting visitors and their pets to enjoy a leisurely and relaxing getaway together.
