The "2026 Siraya Summer Chill" event series held its promotional press conference on July 9, officially announcing the launch of Guanziling's most anticipated summer retreat celebration. Running from July 9 to August 31, the festivities offer more than a month and a half of summer fun, with highlights including Cool Summer Music Night, Acala-themed street parade, an adorable Huang A-Ma inflatable character, a stamp-rally prize draw, street performer showcases, and value-packed limited-time half-day tours. Visitors are invited to Guanziling to experience its refreshing mountain forests and century-old mud hot springs, and to enjoy a cool, cheerful summer getaway.
The press conference featured a surprise appearance by folk music queen Ma Yu-fen, who performed the beloved classic "Love in Guanziling," bringing Guanziling's century of elegance and cultural memories to life through her warm vocals. She also revealed that an even more special version will be presented on July 25, giving audiences another musical treat to look forward to. Adding to the excitement, fan-favorite characters from the hugely popular IP Fumeancats ("Huang A-Ma's Harem Life") made a delightfully cute appearance to warm up for the upcoming events.
Hsu Chu-lung, Director of the Siraya National Scenic Area Administration, Tourism Administration, MOTC, noted that Guanziling is recognized alongside Sicily in Italy and Kagoshima in Japan as one of the "world's only three mud hot spring destinations," and is further distinguished by its rich cultural history and breathtaking natural scenery. At its heart stands Acala, a core spiritual figure that has watched over the local community for more than a century, enshrined here since 1902. Marking the deity's birthday on the 24th day of the 6th lunar month, this year's event places this religious and cultural heritage front and center, transforming the celebration into a festive costume street parade birthday party — inviting everyone to head up the mountain this summer and create unforgettable summer memories amid mountain breezes, dazzling lights, and timeless melodies.
