"Siraya Wonderland Cycling 5COOL" Certification Rides Launch: Explore Siraya by Bike, Check In, and Enter to Win 5 Chicken-Dish Prizes!

Looking for a chance to set off anytime and enjoy a low-carbon, delicious cycling getaway? The Siraya National Scenic Area Administration, Tourism Administration, MOTC has launched the "Siraya Wonderland Cycling 5COOL - Check In While Riding for a Chance to Win 5 Chicken Dish Prizes!" cycling certification event, featuring free registration and ride-anytime flexibility, so leisure cyclists, families, and long-distance riders can all join at their own pace. From now through November 15, 2026, participants who complete the designated route challenge will receive a limited-edition finisher gift and a chance to win an iPad, Siraya accommodation vouchers, and this event's biggest highlight: the Siraya "5G (Chicken) Dining Vouchers," with prizes worth more than NT$ 60,000 in total!
This self-guided cycling certification program features two signature routes: the "Diverse Cycling Route - Lingpo Guantian Line" and the "Mountains to Sea National Greenway, Taiwan - Canal Trail," linking attractions such as the Pheasant-tailed Jacana Conservation Park, Yujing Old Street, and Zuozhen Old Street along the way. Riders can set off from the Guantian Visitor Center and pick up an event card. After completing either certified route, they can take a clear photo of themselves with their bicycle, the location, and the event card at a designated spot, upload it to the comment section of the designated Facebook event post, and tag "#SirayaCheckInRideGO5G" to qualify for the prize draw. The designated photo spots are the Pheasant-tailed Jacana Conservation Park, Tainan Guantian Maiji Hotpot Pasta (Information Booth), and the route marker for the Lingpo Guantian Line, as well as Yujing Old Street, Zuozhen Old Street, and the route marker for the Mountains to Sea National Greenway, Taiwan - Canal Trail. In addition, the first 250 riders to complete either route can redeem the limited-edition "Cycling 5COOL Arm Sleeves" and an exclusive digital finisher certificate as a memento of their cycling journey by presenting an app-tracked riding record screenshot and three designated photos at the Guantian Visitor Center and following the Siraya National Scenic Area Headquarters Facebook page.
Director Hsu Chu-lung of the Siraya National Scenic Area Administration said this year's event is more than just a bike ride; it is an immersive journey that brings together green tourism, local culture, and links with local industries. This year, the event adds a special offer built around the theme of "more riding and tasting five specialty chicken dishes," giving participants a chance to sample five local chicken specialties in one trip: Plum Chicken and Turmeric Chicken from Nanxi, Flame Barrel Chicken from Guanziling, Kafei Ji (Coffee Chicken) from Dongshan, and Cizai Ji (Thistle Chicken) from Guantian. He hopes riders will pedal at their own pace, experience Siraya's natural ecology, history, culture, and local food in depth, and capture memorable moments along the way.
In addition, themed tours such as the "Cycling 5COOL Rally" (September 19, 2026), "South 168 Cycling" (September 20, 2026), and "Cycling 5COOL 188K Challenge" (November 7, 2026) are also accepting registrations, with strong interest already pouring in. Cyclists, families, and enthusiasts nationwide are warmly invited to join in and embrace Siraya Wonderland at a leisurely, two-wheeled pace.
