The Siraya National Scenic Area Administration, Tourism Administration, MOTC, hosted the 2026 Siraya 5 Reservoirs Cycling event on September 19 and 20. Alongside the high-energy cycling races, the venue featured a family-friendly grassland market with local food, DIY crafts, virtual cycling, a kids' balance-bike experience, a meet-and-greet with Robocar POLI, and cross-generational stage performances by artists including Yang Pei-an, ensuring that even visitors without bikes could enjoy the event.
The grassland market opened at 2:00 PM on both days, September 19 and 20. More than 20 specialty stalls, including food trucks, offered sweet and savory fare and refreshing drinks, inviting visitors to savor local flavors. Activities included Red Tile Cat's "sachet-making workshop" and "ROUVY virtual cycling," as well as a children's balance-bike experience at 3:00 PM. The stage program featured a varied lineup: on the afternoon of September 19, a renowned Taiwanese male singer known for his high register, a rock band nominated for the Golden Melody Award for Best Band, a pop ballad singer, and a bilingual Taiwan-Japan host and idol singer performed. On September 20, the globally known children's animation "Robocar POLI" held a meet-and-greet, while the "Ocean Family" energized young audiences. A Golden Melody Award-winning singer-songwriter, known for a song featured in the hit Taiwanese drama "The Making of an Ordinary Woman 2," also brought gentle, soothing vocals for a joyful afternoon.
Director Hsu Chu-lung of the Siraya National Scenic Area Administration noted that Siraya has Taiwan's highest concentration of reservoirs and that Siraya 5 Reservoirs Cycling is one of the "Top Ten Brands of the Taiwan Cycling Festival." As September breezes picked up, he said, it was an ideal time for a fall outing, whether for cycling enthusiasts seeking a challenge or travelers planning a relaxed picnic. Siraya welcomed visitors to Guantian Visitor Center on September 19 and 20 to create lasting memories. During the event, the first 250 visitors each day who completed designated tasks received a NT$ 50 market voucher.
