To the policy of new southbound and improving a friendly environment for Muslim tourists, Siraya National Scenic Area Administration started to coach the operators in Siraya to obtain certification from 2018, 3 hotels are obtained the Muslim Friendly Hotel Rating System certification issued by the Islamic University of Malaysia in 2019, this year (2020) another star-rated hotel has been completed and obtained the Muslim Friendly Hotel Rating System issued by the Islamic University of Malaysia to be certified as CHAM CHAM, In addition, 3 visitor centers and 2 operators in Siraya have obtained Muslim Friendly Environment certification, named Guantian Visitor Center, Zhongpu Visitor Center, Nanhua Visitor Center, Dream River Village, Muspring Resort, the mango ice at Yujing- A Shaved Ice Shop is also recommended for halal food. Siraya National Scenic Area Administration held the certification ceremony and results presentation at Jianshanpi Jiangnan Resort, and invited Bureau of Tourism Tainan City Government, Liuying District Office, Baihe District Office, Yujing District Office, and local districts Associations and local association in Siraya attended the event.

The operators who have obtained certification from the Siraya National Scenic Area Administration have very unique local characteristics, they provide different type of travel experience, Dream River Village is a very popular outdoor activity venue in the Zhongpu, and many activities can be experienced, like: rock climbing, tree climbing, river drifting, etc. It can also provide halal catering with the characteristics of the park; Muspring Resort is located in Guanziling, provide mud hot spring, visitors can relax and enjoy the fun of hot spring; CHAM CHAM is located in Zengwen Reservoir, in addition to the beautiful environment, the chef of the hotel uses halal ingredients to make roasted chicken, which is believed to bring a new taste challenge to Muslim tourists.

The director of Siraya National Scenic Area Administration says: The global Muslim population is about 1.8 billion people, accounting for a quarter of the global population, with huge business opportunities, Although it is impossible for international tourists to come to Taiwan during COVID-19 period, it is hoped that through certification, the operators in Siraya will be prepared to receive international tourists after the COVID-19, and Siraya will be a friendly area for receiving Muslim tourists and attract more Muslim tourists to visit. 

The chairman of the International Muslim Tourism Industry Joint Development Association of the coaching team said: the trend of overseas travel for young Muslims is booming, and they prefer to choose the shops with Muslim-friendly certification for consumption, and word-of-mouth marketing after consumption. Obtaining Muslim-friendly certification for lodging operators is an important key to developing the Muslim tourism market.
