Tsou Ma Lai Farm

The Tsou-Ma-Lai Farm is owned by the Tainan County Agricultural Association. Between the Japanese Rule and 1955, it was leased to the Taiwan Sugar Corporation as the Yujing Sugar Factory. In 1983, “Pangola grass,” a new kind of fodder grass, was introduced to Tsou-Ma-Lai. For some time, the farm solely produced such grass. It was only until much later that it became a tourist farm. This farm was established for the production of grain, but has now become a tourist recreational area. It was among the first farms to officially have scenic recreation status. For the past 11 years, it has been recognized as a first class park area. It has the honor of being awarded the prize by the Farmers' Association of Taiwan for being a superior recreational farm. Zoumalai Farm, which has an area of 120 hectares, is operated by the Tainan City Farmers' Association. It was the first recreational farm theme park to be established in Taiwan. The farm is an amusement park that integrates grasslands, mountain forests, and rivers, and according to the findings of the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, it also has abundant natural ecological resources.
